RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve Amendments to the Salary Resolution, Sections 100 and 400, effective August 5, 2024, as reflected in Appendix “A”.

Approval of the recommended action would clarify pay provisions for extra-help classifications delineated in Footnote “4”, establish shift premium for the Reserve Juvenile Correctional Officer classification, and reinstate language deleted from Salary Resolution Section 400.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
If your Board were not to approve the recommended action, the Salary Resolution would remain unchanged.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action.
DISCUSSION:
Approval of the recommended action would modify Section 100, Footnote “4” to clarify language concerning extra-help classifications and the permanent classifications to which they correspond.
Additionally, approval of the recommended action would create Footnote “10” establishing shift premium for the Reserve Juvenile Correctional Officer extra-help classification.
Lastly, on October 10, 2023, your Board approved amendments to the Salary Resolution converting classifications in the Senior Management Compensation Plan (SMCP) to salary range steps and deleting references of the SMCP from the Salary Resolution. Approval of the recommended action would reinstate language from Salary Resolution Section 413.2.
