RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve community outreach expenditure of $3,000 to support the Saint Agnes Women’s Club, per Administrative Policy No. 75.
REPORT
There is no additional Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Approval of this item is for the expenditure of $3,000 to support the Saint Agnes Women’s Club which will benefit the Holy Cross Health and Wellness Center and Clinic in their upcoming fundraiser. This item was approved by County Counsel as an appropriate expenditure as outlined in Administrative Policy No. 75.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
Your Board can choose not to approve a community outreach expenditure from District 5 to sponsor the Saint Agnes Women’s Club.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Sufficient appropriations will be included in the Board of Supervisors Org 0110 FY 2026-27 Recommended Budget.
DISCUSSION:
On August 8, 2017, the Board approved Administrative Policy No. 75 to allow individual Supervisors to expend portions of their individual budgets for community outreach services and programs.
On March 11, 2025, your Board approved a revision to Administrative Policy No. 75 to require Board approval on non-county business donations in excess of $1,500.
Approval of the recommended action will allow for the purchase of a table of ten at the Saint Agnes Women’s Club “Keys & Cocktails” event. The fundraiser event will raise money to help fund the Saint Agnes Women’s Club in advancing its mission through support of the Holy Cross Health and Wellness Center and Clinic. This expenditure was sent to County Counsel for review and approval. County Counsel deemed it an appropriate expenditure under Administrative Policy No. 75 guidelines.
