DATE: June 30, 2026
TO: Board of Supervisors
SUBMITTED BY: Hollis Magill, Director of Human Resources
SUBJECT: Salary Resolution Amendment
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
1. Approve Amendment to the Salary Resolution retitling the Multimedia Technician I/II/Supervising to Print Production Technician I/II/Supervising, effective July 6, 2026, as reflected on Appendix “D”; and
2. Approve Amendment to the Salary Resolution adjusting the Medical Group for the Information Technology Specialist I/II/Supervising classifications, effective July 6, 2026, as reflected on Appendix “D”.
REPORT
There is no additional Net County Cost (NCC) associated with the recommended actions. Approval of the recommended actions will properly title an existing classification series in the Information Technology Services Department. Approval of the second recommended action would authorize the reassignment of the Information Technology Specialist I/II/Supervising Medical Groups to Group II, in Section 100 of the Salary Resolution, to reflect the appropriate medical group based upon usual working conditions and duties as noted in the job specifications for these classifications. There is no net increase in positions as a result of these actions.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
Should your Board not approve the recommended actions, the Multimedia Technician I/II/Supervising classifications and medical groups for Information Technology Specialist I/II/Supervising will remain unchanged.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no increase in NCC associated with the recommended actions and sufficient appropriations are included within the Org 8905 FY 2026-27 Recommended Budget. All reclassifications and retitling of positions will mirror the current salary ranges associated with each classification.
DISCUSSION:
At the request of the Information Technology Services Department, Human Resources conducted a classification study to review the Multimedia Technician I/II/Supervising job specifications. Approval of the recommended action will retitle the existing Multimedia Technician I/II/Supervising to Print Production Technician I/II/Supervising, in accordance with recent updates to the job specification.
Recommended Action No. 2 implements an ergonomic evaluation for Information Technology Specialist I/II/Supervising classifications that was recently conducted through Occu-Med via The ErgoFirm. As a result of this evaluation, staff recommends that all positions be reassigned to Medical Group II as ErgoFirm’s evaluation determined that the frequency, duration, and intensity of the essential functions performed by all positions would warrant a placement at the Medical Group II level.
