RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve Community Outreach Expenditure of $230 to purchase two seats at the Shaver Lake Lions Club Crab Feed Fundraiser, per Administration Policy No. 75.
REPORT
Approval of this item is for the expenditure of $230 to support the Shaver Lake Lions Club in their upcoming fundraiser which will raise money to help fund youth activities which benefit youth and their families within the Shaver community. This item was approved by County Counsel as an appropriate expenditure as outlined in Administrative Policy No. 75.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
Your Board can choose to not authorize support of District 5 request for the Shaver Lake Lions Club.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Sufficient appropriations are included in the Board of Supervisors Org, 0110 FY 2024-25 Adopted Budget.
DISCUSSION:
On August 8, 2017, the Board approved Administrative Policy No. 75 to allow individual Supervisors to expend portions of their individual budgets for community outreach services and programs. Approval of the recommended action will allow for the purchase of two seats at the Shaver Lake Lions Club’s Crab Feed event. The fundraiser event will raise money to help fund youth activities which benefit youth and their families within the Shaver community.
This expenditure was sent to County Counsel for review and approval. County Counsel deemed it an appropriate expenditure under Administrative Policy No. 75 guidelines
