SUBJECT: Salary Resolution Amendment
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve Amendment to the Salary Resolution, effective July 20, 2026, as reflected on Appendix “B”.
REPORT
The total estimated cost of the recommended action is $3,431; $1,037 of which is Net County Cost (NCC). Approval of the recommended action will correct alignment amongst attorney classifications and adjust the salaries of the designated extra-help classifications in accordance with Footnote “4”. This item is countywide.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
If your Board were not to approve the recommended actions, the Salary Resolution would remain unchanged.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The estimated cost for FY 2026-27 is approximately $3,243, $980 of which is NCC. Impacted department appropriations will be monitored, and adjustments will be brought to your Board if needed. The estimated cost for FY 2027-28 is $188, $57 of which is NCC. Sufficient appropriations will be included in the impacted department’s FY 2027-28 budget request.
DISCUSSION:
Approval of the recommended action will provide a 0.24% increase to correct the Chief Child Support Attorney and Chief Deputy County Counsel alignment with the Chief Deputy District Attorney, as previously approved by your Board on June 16, 2026, adjust the salary for the Law Clerk from $27.525 per hour to $27.80 per hour, and adjust the salary for the Special District Attorney Investigator from $45.85 per hour to $47.2375 per hour, pursuant to Footnote “4”, effective July 20, 2026.
