SUBJECT: Addendum to Memorandum of Understanding for Representation Unit 35
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve the Addendum to Memorandum of Understanding, which extends the term of the Memorandum of Understanding for Representation Unit 35 - Sheriff’s and Correctional Lieutenants, represented by the Sheriff’s and Correctional Lieutenants Association, through November 1, 2020.
REPORT
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Approval of the recommended action would extend the current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), set to expire on July 12, 2020, for Representation Unit 35 through November 1, 2020. There are no other changes in the terms and conditions of the original MOU approved by the Board on May 7, 2017 and amended on December 10, 2019. This item is countywide.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
If your Board were not to approve the recommended action, the terms and conditions of the current MOU would not extend through November 1, 2020, and successor MOU negotiations would continue.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action.
DISCUSSION:
Your Board’s representatives have come to a tentative agreement with Representation Unit 35 to extend the current MOU, with no other changes in terms and conditions, through November 1, 2020.
