SUBJECT: 2025 Chairman's Appointments and adopt California Form 806

RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve the Chairman's 2025 Appointments of Board Members to various Boards, Commissions and Committees as presented in Exhibit A; and adopt California Form 806 (Agency Report of Public Official Appointments) as presented in Exhibit B, and direct the Clerk of the Board to post on the County's website.
REPORT
There is no additional Net County Cost associated with the recommended item. Approval of the recommended action will appoint Board Members to various Boards, Commissions, and Committees listed in Exhibit A. Approval of this action would also adopt the California Form 806 as presented in Exhibit B and post said form to the County's internal website. This item is countywide.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

If your Board wishes to make changes to the Chairman's 2025 assignments, your Board may articulate specific requests. If your Board does not approve the California Form 806 - Agency Report of Public Official Appointments, the County will not achieve compliance with the California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) Regulation 18705.5.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no additional Net County Cost associated with the recommended actions.

DISCUSSION:

At their first regular meeting of the year, the Board of Supervisors formally approves their Board and Committee assignments for the year. Attached as Exhibit A is a list of the various boards, commissions, and committees on which the members of the Board of Supervisors serve.

In March 2012, the FPPC amended Regulation 18705.5, creating a limited exception to allow public officials to vote on their appointment as representatives of the entity to other paid public boards.
