SUBJECT: Retroactive Grant Application and Agreement with Kaiser Foundation Hospitals
RECOMMENDED ACTIONS:
TITLE
Retroactively authorize the Department of Public Health’s previous submittal of a grant application to the Kaiser Foundation Hospitals for the Expanding Fresno County Mobile Health Safety-Net Capacity, effective October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027 ($76,358);
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a retroactive Grant Agreement with the Kaiser Foundation Hospitals for the Expanding Fresno County Mobile Health Safety-Net Capacity grant, effective October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027 ($76,358);
Adopt Budget Resolution increasing the FY 2026-27 appropriations and estimated revenues for the Department of Public Health Org 5620 in the amount of $76,358 (4/5 vote);
Adopt Budget Resolution increasing the FY 2026-27 appropriations and estimated revenues for Miscellaneous Public Health, Fund 0080, Org 1166 in the amount of $76,358 respectively (4/5 vote); and
Approve and authorize the Department of Public Health Director or his designee to execute all notices, reports, claims, extensions, and other documents which he or his designee may deem necessary or advisable to complete the grant, except those that alter fiscal or material terms of the Grant which are subject to approval by both the County Counsel’s Office and the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office.
REPORT
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended actions. Approval of the first recommended action will retroactively authorize the submission of a grant application to the Kaiser Foundation Hospitals for funding under the Expanding Fresno County Mobile Health Safety-Net Grant Program.
