RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Clerk of the Board to execute Budget Transfer No. 16 transferring FY 2023-24 appropriations from the Special Revenue Fund, Social Services Fund 0065, Subclass 17225, Welfare Advance Fund Org 1120 ($1,916,497) from account 7910 to the Special Revenue Fund, Social Services Fund 0065, Subclass 17237, Homeless Services Org 1132 account 7910 in the amount of $1,916,497.
REPORT
There is no additional Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Approval of the recommended action will allow the Department to adjust funding streams through a transfer of appropriations between the Department's Special Revenue Funds. This will allow the Department to reimburse the general fund for allowable homeless services with Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention (HHAP) funds from the Homeless Services Org 1132. This item is countywide.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

There are no viable alternative actions. If the recommended action is not approved, the Department will not have sufficient appropriations to transfer and fully reimburse homeless services paid through the general fund with funds currently sitting in the Homeless Services Org 1132.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. The recommended action will provide appropriations from Social Services Fund 0065, Subclass 17225, Welfare Advance Fund Org 1120 ($1,916,497) to the Social Services Fund 0065, Subclass 17237, Homeless Services Org 1132 in the amount of $1,916,497, to continue to support offsetting increased service cost with existing appropriate funds.
