SUBJECT: FY 2021-22 Veterans Memorial Museum, Inc. Funding Agreement
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a retroactive Agreement with the Veterans Memorial Museum, Inc. for the continued promotion, improvement, operation, and maintenance of the Veterans Memorial Museum effective July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022 ($20,000).
REPORT
Approval of the recommended agreement will allow the County of Fresno to continue to honor Fresno County's veterans, and help preserve the County of Fresno's military history through a $20,000 contribution to the Veterans Memorial Museum. This item pertains to a location in District 3.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
Approval of the recommended agreement is consistent with funding included in the FY 2021-22 Adopted Budget, Interest and Miscellaneous Expenses Org 2540. Should your Board not approve the recommended action, the County of Fresno will not continue to honor its veterans through partial funding of the Veterans Memorial Museum.
RETROACTIVE AGREEMENT:
The recommended agreement is retroactive to July 1, 2021, as this item is brought to your Board following budget hearings, which approved funding for this expenditure.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is an additional $20,000 in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Sufficient appropriations are included in the FY 2021-22 Adopted Budget, Interest and Miscellaneous Expenses Org 2540 ($20,000), which is the same as in years past. Consistent with past annual agreements, payment to Veterans Memorial Museum, Inc. of the recommended $20,000 will be made in full after the execution of the recommended agreement and receipt of a valid invoice.
