SUBJECT: Agreement with BAART Behavioral Health Services, Inc. for Narcotic Treatment Program Services
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute an Agreement with BAART Behavioral Health Services, Inc. to provide Narcotic Treatment Program services to in-custody clients at the County's Detention Facilities effective July 1, 2018, not to exceed five consecutive years, which includes a three-year base contract and two optional one-year extensions, total not to exceed $750,000.
REPORT
Approval of the recommended action will allow the Department to deliver mandated and medically necessary Narcotic Treatment Program (NTP) services to in-custody clients at County detention facilities. The agreement will be funded with Behavioral Health Realignment funds, with no increase to Net County Cost.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
There is no viable alternative action. If your Board does not approve the recommended action, in-custody clients in Fresno County detention facilities will be without medically necessary NTP services for opioid dependence and the County will be out of compliance with State regulations.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. The agreement is fully funded with Behavioral Health Realignment funds. The annual contract maximum for FY 2018-19 and each subsequent year is $150,000; $750,000 for the five-year term. Sufficient appropriations and estimated revenues will be included in the Departments Org 5630 FY 2018-19 Requested Budget and will be requested in future fiscal year budgets for the balance of the contract term.
DISCUSSION:
