SUBJECT: Budget Resolution for Increasing FY 2023-24 Appropriations and Estimated Revenues for Sheriff-Coroner-Public Administrator Org 31113219
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Adopt Budget Resolution increasing FY 2024-25 appropriations in the amount of $15,000 and increasing FY 2024-25 estimated revenues in the amount of $7,500 for Sheriff-Coroner-Public Administrator Org 31113219 to provide traffic control and additional law enforcement coverage for the Christmas Tree Lane "walk nights" (4/5 vote).
REPORT
Approval of the recommended action will increase FY 2024-25 appropriations ($15,000) and increase estimated revenues ($7,500) within the Sheriff-Coroner Public Administrator Org 31113219 to provide traffic control and additional law enforcement coverage for the Christmas Tree Lane "walk nights". Sufficient appropriations are available for the transfer of $5,000 from Board of Supervisors District 2 Org 01100102 and $2,500 from Board of Supervisors District 1 Org 01100101 to the Sheriff-Coroner-Public Administrator Org 31113219 and $7,500 of Unassigned Fund Balance is available in General Fund 0001, Subclass 10000 to fund the remainder of these expenditures. This item pertains to a location in District 2.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
If the recommended action is not approved, the expenditures would not be appropriated, and departmental revenues would not be increased to fund the provision of law enforcement coverage for Christmas Tree Lane on designated "walk nights".
FISCAL IMPACT:
There will be an increase in Net County Cost of $7,500 associated with the recommended action.
