SUBJECT: Adopt Conflict of Interest Code for Yosemite Valley Charter School
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve the initial Conflict of Interest Code for Yosemite Valley Charter School
REPORT
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
If the recommended action is not approved, this agency will not be able to comply with the Government Code section 87300 requesting every agency to adopt and promulgate a Conflict of Interest Code pursuant to the Political Reform Act.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no increase in net County cost associated with this action.
DISCUSSION:
Effective January 2020, all charter schools are to adopt a conflict of interest code that includes the code’s language, designated positions of the agency and disclosure categories. Yosemite Valley Charter School has adopted and submitted the attached conflict of interest code for approval of the code reviewing body.
The proposed conflict of interest code is lawful under the Political Reform Act of 1974. Pursuant to sections 82011 and 87303 of the Government Code, the Board of Supervisors is the code reviewing body and may approve the code as submitted, revise the proposed code and approve it as revised, or return the proposed code to the agency for revision and resubmission. This item is countywide.

County Counsel has reviewed the Conflict of Interest Code.
