SUBMITTED BY: Susan L. Holt, Director, Department of Behavioral Health
SUBJECT: First Amendment to Bright Beginnings for Families Collaborative Agreement
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute an Amendment No. 1 to Agreement with Pacific Clinics, Exceptional Parents Unlimited, and Comprehensive Youth Services, collaboratively combining to provide services under the Bright Beginnings for Families Program, to add Outpatient and Intensive Case Management levels of care to the existing Full Service Partnership services provided, effective upon execution with no change to the term of July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2025, or compensation maximum of $17,781,586.

Youth with moderate to severe symptom acuity, who do not qualify for FSP services, will struggle to gain access to the appropriate treatment services in a timely fashion, which puts them at risk for further decompensation.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. The agreement ($17,781,586) will be financed with Mental Health Realignment, Short/Doyle Medi-Cal Federal Financial Participation and Behavioral Health Re...
