SUBJECT: County Service Area 35 Zone AI Budget Resolution
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Adopt Budget Resolution increasing FY 2024-25 appropriations for Zone AI of County Service Area No. 35, Fund 0220, Subclass 12490, Org 9165, in the amount of $9,500 using available fund balance for the funding of road maintenance operations (4/5 vote).
REPORT
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Approval of the recommended action will increase FY 2024-25 appropriations in the amount of $9,500 for County Service Area 35 Zone AI (CSA 35AI), Org 9165 from available fund balance. This item pertains to a location in District 5.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
If the recommended action is not approved, the district will not have enough appropriations to cover the cost of necessary road work, and the district will not be able to exhaust the funds in the account before their dissolution at the end of the fiscal year.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Approval of the recommended action will increase the appropriations for CSA 35AI - Round Mountain Estates in the amount of $9,500 utilizing existing fund balance. All operation, maintenance, and administrative costs are paid for by the benefitted property owners within CSA 35AI, from property assessments, and interest revenue.
DISCUSSION:
CSA 35AI was formed in 1995 to provide maintenance of 1.35 miles of roadway. This Zone is located on Williamsburg and Bull Run Lane off Watts Valley Road and is north of the City of Sanger. On August 20, 2024, your Board approved the dissolution of the district after no protests were received by any of the 7 benefitting property owners.
