SUBJECT: Amendment I to CHIP Agreement No. 23-300

RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute Amendment I to Agreement with Community Health Improvement Partners, to correct and revise language within the compensation and modification sections, effective upon execution with no change to the term of July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2025, or compensation maximum of $800,000.
REPORT
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action, which will approve an amendment to the agreement with Community Health Improvement Partners revising agreement language in the agreement No. 23-300. This item is countywide.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

There are no viable alternative actions. If the recommended action is not approved, the incorrect maximum compensation of $1,050,000 listed within the agreement would not be corrected to $800,000. Additionally, the Department's request to add modification language to the agreement would result in any budget line-item modification of 10% or less to be brought before your Board for approval.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. The maximum compensation of $800,000 ($400,000 per fiscal year) is funded with Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) for the two-year term of the agreement. Sufficient appropriations and estimated revenues are included in the Department's Org 5630 FY 2023-24 Adopted Budget and will be included in future budget requests for the duration of the agreement term.
