SUBJECT: Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Budget Resolution
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Adopt a Budget Resolution increasing the FY 2019-20 appropriations and estimated revenues for County Administrative Officer-General Fund 0001, Subclass 10000, Org 3663 in the amount of $40,800,000 (4/5 vote).
REPORT
This item will allow for transfers from the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer-Tax Collector’s (ACTTC) Special Revenue Disaster Recovery Fund 0026, Subclass 91019, Org 1031 to Internal Service Funds and Special Revenue Funds within the County through the General Fund 0001, Subclass 10000, Org 3663.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
If the recommended action is not approved, the County would not be able to make the transfers to the Internal Service Funds and Special Revenue Funds through the General Fund.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no Net County Cost associated with this item. These appropriations are the avenue to move existing funding between funds within the County.
DISCUSSION:
Funds received from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act were received by the County on April 24,2020. These funds were deposited in the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Disaster Recovery Fund 0026, Subclass 91019, Org 1031. In order to move these funds to related Internal Service Funds and Special Revenue Funds a General Fund appropriation is needed. This established the needed appropriations to make these transfers.
