RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute an Agreement with Marjaree Mason Center, Inc., for domestic violence services, effective July 1, 2020, not to exceed five consecutive years, which includes a one-year base contract and four optional one-year extensions, total not to exceed $4,000,000.

There is no additional Net County Cost associated with the recommended action, which will allow Marjaree Mason Center, Inc. (MMC) to provide domestic violence services in accordance with the California Department of Social Services' (CDSS) California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) Family Stabilization Program (FSP) to Welfare-to-Work (WTW) participants. The cost of these services will be offset with allocated CalWORKs FSP funds. This item is countywide.

Your Board may choose not to approve the recommended action; however, the Department will be unable to provide domestic violence services to vulnerable families working toward removing domestic violence as a barrier to self-sufficiency.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. The maximum amount of the agreement ($4,000,000) will be offset using CalWORKs FSP funds. Sufficient appropriations and estimated revenues will be included in the FY 2020-21 Recommended Budget for the Department of Social Services, Org 5610, and will be included in subsequent budget requests.
