DATE: January 27, 2026
TO: Board of Supervisors
SUBMITTED BY: Hollis Magill, Director of Human Resources
SUBJECT: Salary Resolution Amendment
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve Amendment to the Salary Resolution, deleting twelve (12) Deputy Sheriff positions in Position Group 3 within Sheriff-Coroner-Public Administrator's Org 3111, effective February 2, 2026, as reflected on Appendix "A".

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
If your Board were not to approve the recommended action, the Salary Resolution would remain unchanged, and the Deputy Sheriff allocations in Position Group 3 would continue to exist despite the department meeting the conditions for their deletion.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no increase in NCC associated with the recommended action. The Sheriff-Coroner-Public Administrator's FY 2025-26 Adopted Budget Org 3111 contains sufficient appropriations and estimated revenues for ongoing operations following the deletion of these positions. Future year budget requests will reflect the updated allocations.
