SUBJECT: First Amendment to Agreement with Priority Dispatch Corporation
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute First Amendment to Agreement No. 19-124 with Priority Dispatch Corporation to modify the compensation limit for products and services, effective upon execution with no change to the term of March 25, 2019, through March 24, 2022, and increasing the maximum by $122,087 to a total of $500,000.
REPORT
Approval of the recommended action will increase the maximum cost of the Priority Dispatch Corporation (Priority) Agreement to address the unanticipated volume of licenses related to the deployment of the new Department of Public Health Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Communications Center. The recommended amendment also eliminates the $20,000 per year limit for products and services. The increase is funded with EMS-Communication System funds. This item pertains to a location in District 2.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
Not approving the recommended action would prevent the EMS Division from acquiring the necessary licensing for the dispatch staff at the new Communications Center; however, normal maintenance and support of the existing products/services would be uninterrupted.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. The maximum will increase from $377,913 to $500,000 to add seven licenses and will be funded with EMS-Communication System funds. These costs were included in the construction budget for the new Communications Center. Sufficient appropriations and estimated revenues are included in the Department's Org 5620 FY 2020-21 Adopted Budget and will be included in future budget requests.
