SUBJECT: Amendment III with LPC Consulting Services, Inc. for SUD Prevention
Evaluation and Strategic Prevention Planning
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute Amendment III to Agreement A-16-432 with LPC Consulting Services Inc., to modify and expand Substance Use Disorder Prevention Evaluation and Strategic Prevention Planning services extending the term by one year from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 and increasing the maximum by $105,000 to a total of $540,000.
REPORT
Approval of the recommended action will allow LPC Consulting Services, Inc. (LPC) to continue to analyze the effectiveness of the County's contracted substance abuse prevention services for FY 2020-21 and ensure completion of the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Strategic Prevention Plan (SPP). This service will be funded with Senate Bill (SB) 920 - Alcohol Abuse Prevention and Realignment Funds, with no increase in Net County Cost.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
If the recommended action is not approved, the County will fall out of compliance with State and Federal outcomes monitoring and reporting requirements for SUD Prevention and may not complete the SPP by the required due date of May 31, 2021, which would negatively impact future funding allocations for the County.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. The cost of the Amendment ($105,000) will be fully funded with SB 920 Alcohol Abuse Prevention and Realignment Funds. The total six-year maximum compensation for this agreement will increase by $105,000 to $540,000. Sufficient appropriations and estimated revenues are included in the Department's Org 5630 FY 2020-21 Recommended Budget and will be included in subsequent budget requests.
