SUBJECT: 2021 and 2022 Annual Report of the Fresno County Public Law Library
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Retroactively receive the Fresno County Public Law Library Annual Reports for the Fiscal Years Ending June 30, 2021 and June 30, 2022.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
There is no alternative action.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The recommended action has no fiscal impact.
DISCUSSION:
Pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code section 6349, county law libraries are to submit their annual reports to their respective Board of Supervisors after the close of each fiscal year, with a copy filed with the County’s Auditor. Due to staff turnover, the 2021 Annual Report was not brought to the Board of Supervisors through a Board Agenda item, but was filed with the County Auditor.
The report must give the condition of the law library’s trust, with full statements of all their property and money received, where it derives from, how it is used and expended, the number of books, periodicals and other publications on hand, the number added by purchase, gift, or otherwise during the year, the number lost or missing, and other information that might be of interest.
OTHER REVIEWING AGENCIES:
The 2021 report was approved by the Law Library Board of Trustees on October 17, 2023.
The 2022 report was approved by the Law Library Board of Trustees on October 24, 2023.
