Adjourn in memory of Philip Levine. Phil Levine was an emeritus professor of English at California State University, Fresno, where he taught from 1958-1992. He served as United States Poet Laureate from 2011-2012, and was a winner of the Pulitzer Prize, two National Book Awards, and numerous other prizes for his poetry. His work with students, faculty, and the community of poets influenced generations of creative writers in Fresno and around the world and he will be missed by many who have been inspired by him over the years
