SUBJECT: Amendment I to Master Dual Jurisdiction Cooperative Agreement with City of Reedley for Maintenance and Repair of Shared Infrastructure

RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute Amendment I to Master Dual Jurisdiction Cooperative Agreement No. 20-028 with the City of Reedley for construction projects for repairs and/or improvements, and certain types of maintenance of public roads and associated facilities for which the City and County share jurisdictional responsibility, to extend the term by five years from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2030 ($0).
REPORT
Approval of the recommended action will extend the Master Dual Jurisdiction Cooperative Agreement (Agreement) between the City of Reedley (City) and Fresno County (County) for dual jurisdiction transportation improvement and maintenance projects. Specific terms applicable to any particular project will continue to be established via a Project Specific Supplement Agreement (PSSA), which will be executed by the Director of the City of Reedley's Department of Public Works and the County's Director of Public Works and Planning. The authority to execute a PSSA applicable to each project was delegated to the County Director with the execution of the Agreement on January 7, 2020. This item is countywide.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

Your Board may choose to not approve the recommended action and the Agreement will expire. However, if the Agreement expires transportation improvement and maintenance projects for which the City and County share jurisdictional responsibility will require separate agreements to be approved by the Board of Supervisors.

FISCAL IMPACT:
