SUBJECT: Authorization of Funding for Slurry Seal Treatment Project on Ockendon Ranch Road
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a Resolution amending the County’s adopted project listing that was adopted by Resolution No. 26-226, to include an additional road project to be performed with Department of Public Works and Planning’s Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account funds for FY 2026-27.
REPORT
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Approval of the recommended action will add the Ockendon Ranch Road Slurry Seal Treatment Project to the County’s FY 2026-27 Road Maintenance Rehabilitation Account (RMRA) project list and allow RMRA funding to be used for the project. The repair work is contemplated for completion utilizing the Department’s Job Order Contract set and is expected to cost approximately $400,000. This project is located in District 5.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
If the recommended action is not approved, FY 2026-27 RMRA funding would not be available to be used to fund the additional project, and the project will not be completed at this time and will be included in the RMRA Slurry Seal Project in FY 2027-28.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Sufficient appropriations and estimated revenues are included in the Road Fund Org 45104514 for FY 2026-27 Adopted Budget.
DISCUSSION:
On June 2, 2026, your Board approved and authorized the Chairman to sign Resolution No. 26-226 establishing a list of road and bridge projects to be performed with the Department’s RMRA funds for FY 2026-27.
