SUBJECT: Mod C Quarterly Governing Body Report

RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Sitting as the Mod C Governing Body:

1. Receive and discuss the Fresno County Mod C Quarterly Report and updates for the period of September 13th, 2024, to December 13th, 2024;
2. Approve and authorize the Policy and Procedure Guides listed in Topic 1 of the Mod C Quarterly Report; and
3. Approve and authorize the Executive Director to submit an application for Transitional Shelter Care Facility Licensure for the new location at 3133 N. Millbrook Ave. Fresno, Ca 93703.

REPORT
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended actions, which will allow the Department of Social Services (Department) to submit the quarterly report to your Board, acting as the governing body of Mod C, in accordance with the Essential Terms of Agreement Between the California Department of Social Services and the County of Fresno ("Essential Terms of Agreement") where the County agreed to the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Transitional Shelter Care Facility (TrSCF) Operating Standards Chapter 12 Article 6 Section 86663. This provision requires that quarterly reports be submitted to the Mod C governing body by the Mod C Administrator. This item is countywide.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

There is no viable alternative action. Should the first and second recommended actions not be approved, the County will be out of compliance with the CDSS TrSCF Operating Standards Chapter 12 Article 6 Section 86663. Additionally, should the third recommended action not be approved, the Executive Director would be unable to request licensure thereby impacting timelines of future moves of Mod C.

FISCAL IMPACT:
