SUBJECT: Budget Resolution for Public Works and Planning Capital Projects

RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Adopt Budget Resolution increasing FY 2021-22 appropriations and estimated revenues for Public Works and Planning Capital Projects Org 4360 in the amount of $8,300,000 for architectural and construction work associated with the Recorder's Office tenant improvements (4/5 vote).
REPORT
Approval of the recommended action will increase the FY 2021-22 appropriations and estimated revenues to reimburse and pay for costs associated with architectural and construction services and professional and specialized services for the Recorder's Office Tenant Improvements (Recorders TI). This item is countywide.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

Without approval of the recommended action, the Department of Public Works and Planning - Capital Projects will lack the necessary appropriations and revenue to conduct its business and timely pay contractors, consultants, permits, agency reviews, or construction invoices for the Recorders TI.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. The recommended action will increase appropriations and estimated revenues in FY 2021-22 for Public Works and Planning Capital Projects Org 4360 in the amount of $8,300,000 to reimburse and cover the costs associated with design and completing construction for the Recorders TI. Appropriations and estimated revenue for the Recorder's Office project were not included in the 2021-22 Adopted Capital Projects Org 4360. The costs for this project are fully offset with Recorder's Office Record Document System funding.
