SUBJECT: Amendment II to Agreement with Centro La Familia Advocacy
Services Inc. for Trafficking and Crime Victims Assistance Program

RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute Amendment II to Agreement with Centro La Familia Advocacy Services, Inc. for human trafficking and domestic violence victim assistance services, to increase the annual compensation amount for FY 2021-22 by $416,177, increasing the total maximum compensation to $4,166,664.
REPORT
Approval of the recommended action will allow an increase in the agreement compensation amount consistent with the FY 2021-22 Trafficking and Crime Victim Assistance Program (TCVAP) county allocation. The additional funds will be used to expand awareness, outreach, and direct services to non-citizen victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, and other serious crimes, in accordance with Senate Bill 1569. The cost of the recommended amendment will be offset with State TCVAP funds with no Net County Cost. This item is countywide.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

Should your Board not approve the recommended action, enhanced services that target victims of human trafficking, domestic violence and other serious crimes will not be provided, and additional state allocated funds for this purpose would not be used.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. The recommended amendment will increase the maximum agreement compensation from $3,750,487 to $4,166,664 and will be fully offset with State TCVAP funds. Sufficient appropriations and estimated revenues are included in the Org 5610 FY 2021-22 Adopted Budget and will be included in subsequent budget years.
