SUBJECT: Salary Resolution Amendment
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve Salary Resolution Amendment adjusting the salary of the Chief Building Inspector, effective April 3, 2023, as reflected on Appendix “B”.
REPORT
There is an increase of $5,374 in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Approval of the recommended action is consistent with Board direction and will increase the Chief Building Inspector salary range by approximately 15.6%. This item is countywide.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
If your Board were not to approve the recommended actions, the salary range of the impacted classification would remain unchanged.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is an increase of $5,374 in NCC associated with the recommended action. The remaining estimated NCC for FY 2022-23 is $1,296. Sufficient appropriations and estimated revenues to absorb these costs are available in Public Works and Planning Org 43600200 FY 2022-23 Adopted Budget.
DISCUSSION:
The Chef Building Inspector serves as the County’s Certified Building Official and is primarily responsible for the planning and administration of the Building and Safety Section of Public Works and Planning’s Development Services Division.
Approval of the recommended action will increase the salary range of the Chief Building Inspector approximately 15.6%, consistent with Board direction and the County’s desire to remain competitive in the local labor market.
