SUBJECT: Amendment No. 1 to Agreement with UC Davis for County Self-Assessment

RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the First Amendment to Agreement with UC Davis for consultation and facilitation services, extending the term by six months from January 1, 2025 to June 30, 2025 with no change to the maximum compensation of $100,500.
REPORT
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Approval of the recommended action will allow UC Davis to continue providing necessary consultation services for the 2024 County Self-Assessment (CSA). The Department is required by California Department of Social Services to submit a CSA report that includes an analysis of child welfare and probation programs and services. This item is countywide.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

There is no viable alternative action. Should your Board choose not to approve the recommended action, the Department will be unable to complete the final step in the CSA process.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. The maximum amount of the agreement ($100,500) will be funded with Family First Transition Act (FFTA) funds. Sufficient appropriations and estimated revenues are included in the Department of Social Services Org 5610 FY 2024-2025 Adopted Budget.

DISCUSSION:

To continue the ongoing efforts to finalize the state mandated CSA, the Department has contracted with UC Davis for their extensive knowledge and experience in consultation and facilitation of the CSA process.
