SUBJECT: Receive presentation from Department of Public Health on Future of Public Health funding updates

RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Receive presentation from Department of Public Health on Future of Public Health funding updates.
REPORT
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Approval of the recommended action will allow the Department of Public Health (Department) to present your Board with updates on the state of the County's public health, as required by the Future of Public Health (FoPH) funding. This information will include data on morbidity and mortality, health gaps, and updates on some health related projects. The item is countywide.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

Should your Board not approve the recommended action, the Department will need to find another method to present the required annual updates to the Board in order to comply with the requirements of FoPH funding accepted by the Board on October 10, 2023.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Approving the recommended action will indicate County has met the requirements of FoPH funding.
