SUBJECT: Salary Resolution Amendments

RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve an Amendment to the Salary Resolution, Section 100, to provide a salary adjustment of 1% for Unrepresented (including confidential classifications covered by Footnote “y”), Management, Senior Management Supervisors, Senior Management, Assistant Department Head, Department Head (excluding Elected Officials), and Extra-Help classifications within U98 (as outlined in Salary Resolution Section 100), effective November 9, 2026, as reflected on Appendix “B”; and
Approve an Amendment to the Salary Resolution, Section 100, to provide a salary adjustment for the Supervising District Attorney Investigator classification of 2%, effective November 9, 2026, as reflected on Appendix “B”; and
Approve an Amendment to the Salary Resolution, Section 100, adjusting impacted Unrepresented and Extra-help classifications within U98 to comply with California minimum wage, effective December 21, 2026, as reflected on Appendix “B”.
REPORT
The total estimated cost of approving all Recommended Actions, including retirement and related costs is $1,227,825; $319,383 of which is Net County Cost (NCC). Approval of the recommended actions would serve to increase salaries and remain attractive and competitive in the local labor market while retaining a quality workforce. This item is countywide.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

If your Board were not to approve the recommended actions, the Salary Resolution would remain unchanged.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The estimated cost for FY 2026-27 is approximately $1,227,825, including related retirement costs, $319,383 of which is NCC. Impacted department appropriations will be monitored, and adjustments will be brought to your Board if needed. The estimated cost for FY 2027-28 is $1,877,850; $488,486 of which is NCC.
