SUBJECT: Amendment No. 1 to Agreement with Sable Computer, Inc. dba KIS
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. A-24-269 with Sable Computer, Inc. dba KIS, to remove the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure subscription license, effective upon execution with no change to the term of January 19, 2024, through January 18, 2029, decreasing the maximum compensation by $338,974 to a total of $1,684,383.
REPORT
There is no additional Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Approval of the recommended action will amend Agreement No. A-24-269 (Agreement) with Sable Computer, Inc. dba KIS (KIS), decreasing the maximum compensation and amending Exhibit A to the Agreement, which will allow the Information Technology Services Department (ITSD) to retire the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) subscription license. This item is countywide.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
If the recommended action is not approved, the County will not be able to remove the VDI user licenses from the Agreement and will continue to pay the associated costs.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. The recommended action will decrease the total maximum compensation payable by $338,974 to approximately $1,684,383. Sufficient appropriations and estimated revenues will be included in the ITSD Org 8905 FY 2026-27 Recommended Budget and in subsequent Recommended Budget requests for the duration of the Agreement term.
DISCUSSION:
On June 4, 2024, the Board approved the Agreement with KIS, effective January 19, 2024, with a three-year base term and two optional one-year extensions, and a maximum compensation of $2,023,357.
