SUBJECT: Revenue Agreement with the City of Mendota for Dispatching Services
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a Revenue Agreement with the City of Mendota to provide law enforcement communication dispatching services, effective July 1, 2026, not to exceed five consecutive years, which includes a three-year base term and two optional one-year extensions, total not to exceed $1,389,742.
REPORT
There is no additional Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Approval of the recommended action will allow the Sheriff's Office to continue providing communication dispatching services to the City of Mendota. This item pertains to a location in District 1.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
There is no viable alternative action. Approval of the recommended action is necessary for the Sheriff's Office to continue to provide dispatching services to the City of Mendota, and charge for those services at the current Board-approved Master Schedule of Fees (MSF) rate.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended agreement with the City of Mendota. The recommended agreement will provide up to $227,636 in revenue from the City of Mendota within Fresno County for communication dispatching services at $17.91 per capita from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, based on the FY 2025-26 rates approved by your Board on December 9, 2025.
