SUBJECT: Amendment to Agreement with Dominion Voting Systems, Inc.
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute First Amendment to Agreement A-19-227 with Dominion Voting Systems, Inc., for voting equipment, election services, maintenance, and support effective upon execution with no change to the term of May 14, 2019 through May 13, 2022 and increasing the contract maximum by $10,744 to a total of $2,909,148
REPORT
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Approval of the recommended action will allow the County Clerk-Elections Department to increase the maximum compensation for the Agreement with Dominion Voting Systems, Inc to account for additional maintenance costs.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
Should your Board not approve the recommended action, the County Clerk-Elections Department will not be able to procure maintenance and support services for critical election equipment.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the approval of the recommended action. The recommended action will increase the maximum compensation by $10,744. Sufficient appropriations and estimated revenues have been included in the Department's Org 2850 FY 2021-22 Requested Budget and will be included in future budget requests.
DISCUSSION:
On August 8, 2018, the County of Fresno on behalf of the County Clerk-Elections Department (Department) issued Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 19-006 for the Fresno Voting System to all vendors certified by the California Secretary of State. The evaluation panel recommended the proposal submitted by Dominion Voting Systems, Inc. to provide the Fresno Voting System under the terms of the RFP.
