SUBJECT: Amendment I to Agreement with the City of Kerman (CDBG 19371-CV)
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize Chairman to execute Amendment I to Agreement No. 20-515 with the City of Kerman for the Kerman Food Bank, Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act Community Development Block Grant Project No. 19371-CV, effective upon execution with no change in term through June 30, 2023, amending the project scope to provide additional food through the Kerman Food Bank and include the procurement and distribution of personal protective equipment and infectious disease test kits, and increasing the maximum Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act Community Development Block Grant funding by $35,541 to a total Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act Community Development Block Grant funding amount not to exceed $113,100.
REPORT
Approval of the recommended action will provide additional Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-CV) funding for the Kerman Food Bank (Project). The additional funds are needed to provide additional food through the Kerman Food Bank for low and moderate-income citizens impacted by COVID-19 in the City of Kerman (City). In addition, the recommended action will also amend the project description to include the ability for the City to procure and distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) and infectious disease test kits to residents. These additional funds are available from the City's CDBG-CV allocation included in the County's 2019-2020 Action Plan, as amended by your Board on April 19, 2022. The total Project cost is estimated at $113,100. This item pertains to a location in District 1.
