SUBJECT: Agreement with the Del Rey Community Services District for Wastewater Treatment Plant Hazard Reduction Project (CDBG 23151)
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize Chairman to execute Agreement with the Del Rey Community Services District for the Del Rey Wastewater Treatment Plant Hazard Reduction, Community Development Block Grant Project No. 23151, effective upon execution through January 27, 2025, and authorize Director of Public Works and Planning to evaluate and grant timeline extensions for completion of the Project, total Community Development Block Grant funding amount not to exceed $300,000.
REPORT
Approval of the recommended action will provide Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for the Del Rey Wastewater Treatment Plant Hazard Reduction Project (Project), included in the County's 2023-24 Annual Action Plan approved by your Board on May 9, 2023. This item pertains to a location in District 4.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
Your Board may reject the recommended action, and direct staff to identify another project from the 2023-24 Recommended for Funding list for consideration. However, rejection of the recommended action may impact the County's ability to meet its CDBG expenditure timelines set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. The Project's total estimated cost is $300,000, which includes construction, design and construction engineering, and contingency and permits. CDBG funds in the amount of $300,000 are included in the Department of Public Works and Planning - Community Development Block Grant Org 7205, FY 2023-24 Adopted Budget.
