RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve Community Outreach Expenditure per Administrative Policy No. 75.
REPORT
Approval of this item is for the expenditure of $500 to sponsor Founder’s Day on October 18, 2018, at the state Department of Veterans Affairs Fresno Veterans Home. This item was approved by County Counsel as an expenditure as outlined in Administrative Policy No. 75.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
Your Board could opt not to approve this expenditure; however, it follows guidelines of Administrative Policy No. 75 approved by the Board of Supervisors.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Sufficient appropriations are included in the FY 2018-19 Recommended Budget under the Board of Supervisors Org 0110 Department 01100101.
DISCUSSION:
On August 8, 2017, the Board approved Administrative Policy No. 75 to allow individual supervisors the opportunity to expend portions of their individual budgets for community outreach services and programs. The expenditure to sponsor this community event was approved by the County Counsel on August 23, 2018. County Counsel has deemed this an appropriate expenditure under the Administrative Policy No. 75 guidelines.
The event will have participation by the Fresno County Department of Veterans Services, which will provide information about its programs to those attending the event.
