SUBJECT: Agreement with Fresno Unified School District for the Coordination of Various Prevention and Treatment Services
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
1. Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a retroactive Agreement with Fresno Unified School District for the coordination of various prevention and treatment services at Fresno Unified school sites, effective July 1, 2018, not to exceed five consecutive years, which includes a three-year base contract and two optional one-year extensions ($0).
2. Authorize the Director of the Department of Behavioral Health or designee to add and/or remove Service Providers at any time during the term of the recommended Agreement.
REPORT
The first recommended action allows for the provision of comprehensive prevention and treatment services to students at school sites. The sole purpose of this agreement is to gain access to Fresno Unified School District's student population to provide these existing services. The second recommended action authorizes the Director of the Department of Behavioral Health or designee to add/or remove service providers as participants to the agreement, with no Net County Cost.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
There are no viable alternatives. Should the recommended actions not be approved, available prevention and treatment services will not be provided to students at Fresno Unified School District (FUSD) school sites.
RETROACTIVE AGREEMENT:
The recommended Agreement was originally scheduled to come before your Board on June 12, 2018. However, lengthy discussions regarding HIPAA and Indemnity language continued this item.
FISCAL IMPACT:
