SUBJECT: Resolution to accept a monetary donation from the Foundation for Fresno County Public Library
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
1. Adopt Resolution accepting and expressing gratitude for a monetary donation of $13,500 from the Foundation to support costs associated with the Fresno County Public Library's Digibus; and
2. Adopt Budget Resolution increasing the FY 2018-19 appropriations and estimated revenues for the County Library Book Fund Org 7521 in the amount of $13,500 (4/5 vote).
REPORT
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended actions. The first recommended action is required to satisfy the reporting requirements under Chapter 762.12 of the CAO Management Directives for donations greater than $7,500 in value. Approval of the recommended actions will allow the Fresno County Public Library to accept the donation of $13,500, which is restricted to support costs associated with the Digibus from the Foundation for the Fresno County Public Library. The impact of the donation will be countywide.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
Your Board may choose to not accept the donation, which will result in funds not being allocated for the Library's Digibus.
FISCAL IMPACT:

Approval of the second recommended action will increase the FY 2018-19 appropriations and estimated revenues for the County Library Book Fund Org 7521 in the amount of $13,500. The $13,500 is restricted to support costs associated with the Library's Digibus.
DISCUSSION:
The Foundation for Fresno County Public Library was established as a non-profit charitable organization in 2012. It purpose is to raise money to supplement, not supplant, public funding for the Library.
