SUBJECT: Community Recidivism Reduction Grant - Fourth Amendment to Agreement
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
1. Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute Amendment IV to Agreement #15-243 with the Poverello House for community recidivism and crime reduction services, effective upon execution with no change in term to June 30, 2019 and increasing the contract maximum by $8,177 to a total of $134,751; and
2. Adopt Budget Resolution increasing FY 2018-19 appropriations for the Community Recidivism Reduction Grant Org 3451 in the amount of $8,177 (4/5 vote).
REPORT
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended actions, which will re-allocate $8,177 of interest on Community Recidivism Reduction Grant (CRRG) funds to the Poverello House, with payments of such additional funds spread over the final six months of FY 2018-19.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
If your Board does not approve the recommended actions, any unexpended CRRG funds as of June 30, 2019 shall revert back to the state General Fund.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended actions. The California Budget Acts of 2014 and 2015 allocated $250,000 and $125,000 in CRRG funds respectively to Fresno County, and the Board approved contracts to allocate these funds. The $8,177 is interest that has accrued on these funds and is being brought to your Board for allocation to the Poverello House.
Approval of the second recommended action will increase FY 2018-19 appropriations for the CRRG Org 3451 in the amount of $8,177 using available Fund Balance to allocate these funds to the Poverello House.
