RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize Chairman to execute Amendment II to Agreement No. 16-506 with the City of Selma, for the Selma Ringo Park Improvements, Community Development Block Grant Project No. 16651, effective upon execution with no change in the term to July 29, 2019 and increasing the maximum by $58,792, to a total of $183,792.
REPORT
Approval of the recommended action will provide additional Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and local contribution funds to the project, necessary due to increased construction costs. The added $10,643 in CDBG funds are available from the City of Selma's (City) CDBG allocation and the City will provide local funds in the amount of $48,149 to complete the project. Your Board approved the Selma Ringo Park Improvements on August 9, 2016. This item pertains to a location in District 4.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

If the Board does not approve the recommended action, the City may not have sufficient funds to complete the entire project.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. The proposed amendment will increase CDBG funding for the Selma Ringo Park Restroom Project by $10,643 from the City's available CDBG balance and savings from recently completed projects. In addition, the City has committed $48,149 in local funds to complete the project, which, with the proposed increase in CDBG funding, will increase the total project funding from $125,000 to $183,792. Sufficient appropriations and estimated revenues are included in the Department of Public Works and Planning - Community Development Block Grant Org 7205 FY 2018-19 Adopted Budget. CDBG funds are provided on a reimbursement basis.
