SUBJECT: Amendment to Cooperative Project Agreement with Fresno County Transportation Authority
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a retroactive Amendment No. 4 to Cooperative Project Agreement No. 09-595 with the Fresno County Transportation Authority for Rural Project 1 - Mountain View Avenue Widening to re-allocate funding from the Construction to the Right-of-Way fund, reduce funding for the Preliminary Engineering and Construction phases, extend the term by one year from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019, and decrease the maximum by $5,042,979 to $18,495,021.
REPORT
Approval of the recommended action will re-allocate $48,444 from the Construction fund of the Mountain View Avenue Widening Project (Project) to the Right-of-Way fund; reduce $12,859 from the Preliminary Engineering fund and $5,030,120 from the Construction fund, thus reducing the total contract amount to $18,495,021. In addition, the recommended amendment will extend the term to allow for submission of the final invoice. This item pertains to a location in District 1.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
No viable alternative action has been identified. Not approving the recommended action will result in de-obligation of the allocated funding.
RETROACTIVE AGREEMENT:
The recommended amendment is retroactive to July 1, 2018, as the Fresno County Transportation Authority (FCTA) requires a current agreement to close out the project.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Project costs are 100% funded by the Measure "C" Extension up to $18,495,021 programmed in the Measure "C" Extension Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP).
