SUBJECT: AB 109 Planning Grant Budget Resolution
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Adopt Budget Resolution increasing FY 2018-19 appropriations in the Public Safety Realignment Act of 2011 (AB 109) Planning Grant Org 3439 in the amount of $10,000 (4/5 vote).
REPORT
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action as all associated costs will be funded by Local Revenue Fund 2011 Funds. The increased appropriations are necessary to reimburse the County Administrative Office (CAO) and County Counsel for staff time related to the AB 109 Planning Grant. This item is countywide.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
If the recommended action is not approved, there will not be sufficient appropriations in the AB 109 Planning Grant Org 3439 to fully reimburse the CAO and County Counsel for staff time relating to the AB 109 Planning Grant.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Funding for the additional costs is fully offset with Local Revenue Fund 2011 Funds. Approval of the recommended actions are necessary to increase FY 2018-19 appropriations in the amount of $10,000 in AB 109 Planning Grant Org 3439. This increase is necessary to reimburse the CAO's and County Counsel's staff time related to the AB 109 Planning Grant.
DISCUSSION:
The AB 109 Planning Grant Org is administered by the Probation Department and includes revenues and expenses related to the support and resources required by the Fresno County Community Corrections Partnership (CCP). Increased appropriations are required as sufficient appropriations were not included in the FY 2018-19 AB 109 Planning Grant Org 3439 Adopted Budget. The increased appropriations will be used to reimburse the CAO and County Counsel for staff time related to the AB 109 Planning Grant, such as review of CCP Agenda Items and attendance at CCP meetings.
