FISCAL IMPACT:

None

DISCUSSION:

California State Senator Andreas Borgeas of the 8th District is working to allocate more California Department of Transportation resources to our area for ongoing freeway cleaning and maintenance. Currently there are 20 State employees assigned to the maintenance of 1,100 acres of landscaping in the Fresno and Clovis region. This letter would encourage the State of California to supplement current efforts to maintain our roadways with additional funding for staffing, equipment and other needs.
