SUBJECT: Amendment to the Revenue Agreement with the California Department of Public Health for the Sexually Transmitted Disease Program

RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute an Amendment to Revenue Agreement A-20-289 (State Agreement No. 19-10073) with the California Department of Public Health for the Core Sexually Transmitted Disease Program to add optional activities in the scope of work for increased testing utilizing community partners with no change to the grant term of July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2024, or compensation maximum grant funding of $1,260,910.
REPORT
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Approval of the recommended action will allow the Department's sexually transmitted disease (STD) prevention program to enhance STD screening and treatment to the vulnerable populations and subcontract with community-based or other organizations in the County of Fresno. This item is countywide.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

There is no viable alternative action. Should your Board choose not to approve the recommended action, the Department would not be able to add additional STD screening and treatment to identified vulnerable populations or subcontract with community-based or other organizations to ensure success of core STD program functions.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. The amendment will add optional activities in the scope of work with no change in the term (July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2024) or compensation ($1,260,910).

The existing agreement allows full indirect cost recovery up to 22.579% of salaries and benefits. Sufficient appropriations and estimated revenues are included in the Department's Org 5620 FY 2021-22 Adopted Budget and will be included in subsequent bud...
