REPORT
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended actions. The CSL has awarded the Library an $89,386 grant effective July 1, 2016 through August 31, 2017. The grant will fund a Digibus Mobile Classroom, which will allow the Library to create a mobile computer class to host digital literacy and job searching classes for Fresno County residents.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

Your Board may choose to decline the grant award from the CSL, which will result in the Library not hosting mobile digital literacy and job searching classes for Fresno County residents.

RETROACTIVE AGREEMENT:

The request to approve and accept the grant award is retroactive because the Library received notice to apply for the grant on April 11, 2016 with a submission deadline of June 15, 2016. The Library was later notified of the grant award on July 6, 2016. In order to meet the filing deadline, the application was previously submitted contingent upon your Board's approval and is being brought to your Board at the first available Board date. Grant funds will not be expended prior to Board acceptance of the grant.
