SUBJECT: Resolution accepting monetary donation from the Kingsburg Chapter of Friends of the Library
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
1. Adopt Resolution accepting and expressing gratitude for the monetary donation of $504 from Friends of the Library to purchase furniture for the Kingsburg Branch Library during FY 2016-17; and
2. Adopt Budget Resolution increasing the FY 2016-17 appropriations and estimated revenues for the County Library Book Fund Org 7521 in the amount of $504 (4/5 vote).
REPORT
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended actions. The first recommended action is required to satisfy the reporting requirements under Chapter 762.12 of the CAO Management Directives for donations greater than $500.00 in value. The approval of the recommended actions will allow the Library to accept a donation from Friends of the Library to purchase new library branch furniture for the Kingsburg Branch Library during FY 2016-17.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
Your Board may choose to not accept the donation from Friends of the Library. If the donation is not accepted, worn library branch furniture at the Kingsburg Branch Library will not be replaced with new furniture.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended actions. Upon approval, the donation will be accepted and the items will be purchased in FY 2016-17. Approval of the second recommended action will increase the FY 2016-17 appropriations and estimated revenues for the County Library Book Fund Org 7521 in the amount of $504 to replace small furniture for public use at the Kingsburg Branch Library using the monetary donation from Friends of the Library.
