RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Adopt a Resolution authorizing the County Clerk Registrar of Voters to conduct an All-Mail Ballot Special Municipal Election on August 29, 2017 for the City of Mendota.
REPORT
On May 23, 2017, the City of Mendota executed Resolution Nos. 17-31, 17-32, 17-34 and 17-35 calling for an All-Mail Ballot Special Municipal Election on August 29, 2017. FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no increase in Net County Cost related to the recommended action. The City of Mendota has agreed, by resolution, to reimburse the County for all costs related to the conduct of the August 29, 2017 All-Mail Ballot Special Municipal Election. The estimated cost range is $30,000 to $40,000.

DISCUSSION:

The City of Mendota requests the Fresno County Clerk Registrar of Voters to conduct an All-Mail Ballot Special Municipal Election to be held on August 29, 2017. The City of Mendota will submit, to the voters, two ballot measures which will fund and provide for public safety. Ballot measure A, if passed by the voters, would incre...
