SUBJECT: Addendum to Memorandum of Understanding - Unit 10
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve the Addendum to the Memorandum of Understanding regarding classification updates and a salary adjustment for identified classifications within Unit 10 - District Attorney Investigators, represented by the Fresno County District Attorney Investigators Association, effective July 3, 2017, as reflected in Appendix B.
REPORT
Approval of the recommended action would amend the Salary Resolution to delete the District Attorney Investigator I classification and retitle the District Attorney Investigator II classification to District Attorney Investigator. Additionally, the addendum would implement a salary adjustment for the identified classifications. The increase ($365,144) includes $265,751 in Net County Cost (NCC), which will be included within the District Attorney's Office FY 2017-2018 Recommended Budget.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
If your Board were not to approve the recommended action, the existing terms and conditions would remain in effect and negotiations would continue.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The total estimated cost of the recommended action for FY 2017-18 is approximately $365,144 with $265,751 in NCC, which includes the related retirement costs. Sufficient appropriations and estimated revenues will be included in the District Attorney's Office Org 2860 and 2862 Recommended Budget, and will be included in future budget requests.
DISCUSSION:
Pursuant to Unit 10's Article - MOU Reopeners, the parties have met and conferred regarding salary adjustments for the identified classifications.
